Position of heating flap and fire door
|

As the name suggests, the heating flap only needs to be opened during the heating up phase. It closes as soon as possible when the chimney is properly drawn, so that the heat is better kept in the oven. Incidentally, a pre-heating flap is only available for larger ovens with particularly long draws, for example when a heated bench is connected to the oven. The louvers in the fire door are provided in case the fire door accidentally falls or you have to leave the house during the heating phase. During the heating phase, however, the door should normally remain ajar, as these louvers are insufficient to supply enough oxygen to the fire. |
