Cleaning a fireplace
|
|||
The firebox does not need to be cleaned after each use. On the contrary: the ash on the ground "warms" the fire, so that it burns better and the embers radiate heat longer. Let the remains of the ashes grow quietly, it is not for nothing that the fire door is slightly raised above the floor of the combustion chamber. Only when the ashes reach just below the door you should clean the combustion chamber with dustpan and hand brush. Trains and chimney become polluted over time, even when completely dry wood is used. In order to keep the trigger in good working order and to prevent the risk of clogged trains or even fire, it is important to have the stove cleaned by your stove builder every 2-3 years. When heating with damp wood or unsuitable fuels, cleaning is even more necessary. |
